![]() I've got all those sets that came with Logic Studio. if only UVI Workstation will play all those Apple Loops. A major improvement that more-or-less answers Apple's big price slash last year for Logic Studio. ![]() If I'm correct about this, then we've just seen a huge leap forward. Has anyone played with UVI Workstation yet? One question: if you CONTROL-CLICK (or right-click) on a button or knob, do you get a pop-up window for attaching MIDI controllers? If so, I'm betting that this is Mach Five Lite! I have long hoped that MOTU would roll those two together, for once you've used Mach Five 2 with DP, you get the feeling that it's not complete otherwise. It would be hard to complain about its limitations with this. ![]() Assuming that UVI Workstation has the latest UVI advances (and hoping that it plays the new Apple Loops), this is just the thing to extend DP's reach in a major way. It makes it competitive with Logic in the area of loops and sound creation, as well as a universal sample player, sampler, and sample editor. And that's a good thing for DP, because - as I've said many times in this forum - Mach Five 2 sort of completes DP. Pictures of it and descriptions tell me that it's basically Mach Five Lite. I don't have DP6 yet, nor has it even shown up on my bank account yet, but this UVI Workstation that some are talking about interests me.
